Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie n’ Oreo
Fudge Brownie Bar
By: kevinandamanda
1 cup (250gr) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 pkg Double Stuffed Oreos
1 Family Size (9×13) Brownie mix
1/4 cup hot fudge topping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the butter and both sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3-5 minutes. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well to thoroughly combine. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt, then slowly incorporate into the mixer until the flour is just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread the cookie dough in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish that’s been lined with wax paper and sprayed with cooking spray. Top with a layer of Oreos. Mix together brownie mix, adding an optional 1/4 cup of hot fudge topping to the mix. Pour the brownie batter over the cookie dough and Oreos. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 15-25 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting — brownies may still be gooey in the middle when still warm, but will set up perfectly once cooled. Enjoy!!
To half this recipe for an 8×8 brownie mix, simply half the chocolate chip cookie dough ingredients.

Magic Shell Sauce

Magic Shell Sauce

Peanut Butter Magic Shell

Ingredients (For one bowl):

1 Tablespoon 100% peanut butter

1 Tablespoon liquid sweetener(maple syrup, corn syrup, etc.)

1/2 Tablespoon coconut oil(preferably refined), melted or softened

Method:

Mix together the peanut butter, sweetener, and oil into a thick, even sauce.     Pour the peanut butter sauce over plated ice cream. Wait a few moments for the sauce to harden before digging in.This works best with ice cream straight from the freezer; if using softened ice cream or banana “soft serve”, the shell might not form immediately. Simply pour the sauce over the ice cream and refrigerate or freeze it for a few minutes until the shell has hardened

Chocolate Magic Shell

8 oz chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 cups), milk or semi sweet

1/4 cup (4 TBS) coconut oil

Put both ingredients in a small microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave for 1 minute. Stir. If chocolate chips are not completely melted, heat in 15 second increments, stirring in between until melted.

Caramel Magic Shell

3/4 cup Caramel Baking Chips (135 grams)

4 scant Tablespoons Coconut Oil (50 grams)

1/4- 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt (to taste)

In a small saucepan, begin melting the coconut oil over very low heat.  Add the caramel chips and stir constantly until the chips are melted and the sauce is smooth. Add 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt, stir well and give the caramel a taste. Add more salt as desired.Remove the caramel sauce from the heat and use a spoon to drizzle the popsicles over a sheet of parchment paper. After making a mess, I found it was easier to pour the caramel sauce into a squeeze bottle so I could drizzle the popsicles with more control and less waste. The sauce hardens as it cools to room temperature, so I kept a glass hot water handy, too.Pour over your ice cream. Let sit about 15 seconds.

1 pak gewone enkel Oreo koekies (Nie Double Stuff) – ongeveer 36 koekies
6 eetlepel botter, gesmelt
1 houetjie roomkaas, versag
1/4 koppie suiker
2 eetlepels koue melk
1 en ½ koppies room
2 pakkies sjokolade kitspoeding.
3 en ¼ koppies koue melk
1 en ½ koppies mini sjokolade of selfs ‘n blok sjokolade in stukkies gebreek sal werk. Vermicilli of selfs gerasperde sjokolade sal ook werk

AANWYSINGS
Begin deur die oreo koekies fyn te maak. Gebruik jou voedselverwerker of sommer in ‘n sakkie en slaan stukkend met koekroller.
Smelt die botter en meng in die krummels in. Druk in tertbak plat.

CHOCOLATE LASAGNE

INGREDIENTS:

1 package regular Oreo cookies (Not Double Stuff) – about 36 cookies
6 Tablespoon butter, melted
1- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons cold milk
1- 12 ounce tub Cool Whip, divided
2 – 3.9 ounce packages Chocolate Instant Pudding.
3 1/4 cups cold milk
1 and 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

1. Begin by crushing 36 Oreo cookies. I used my food processor for this, but you could also place them in a large ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin. When the Oreos have turned into fine crumbs, you are done.
2. Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a large bowl. Stir in 6 tablespoons melted butter and use a fork to incorporate the butter into the cookie crumbs. When the butter is distributed, transfer the mixture to a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan. Place the pan in the refrigerator while you work on the additional layers.
3. Mix the cream cheese with a mixer until light and fluffy. Add in 2 Tablespoons of milk, and sugar, and mix well. Stir in 1 and 1/4 cups Cool Whip. Spread this mixture over the crust.
4. In a bowl, combine chocolate instant pudding with 3 and 1/4 cups cold milk. Whisk for several minutes until the pudding starts to thicken. Use a spatula to spread the mixture over the previous cream cheese layer. Allow the dessert to rest for about 5 minutes so that the pudding can firm up further.
5. Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips evenly over the top. Place in the freezer for 1 hour, or the refrigerator for 4 hours before serving. ENJOY!!!*

No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Coconut Bites

Recipe barely adapted from New Nostalgia via I Hear Exercise Will Kill You
Yield: 24 bars or 60+ bite size pieces

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup unrefined coconut oil (unrefined is important here for the coconut flavor)
2 cups rolled oats (not instant oats)
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 1/4 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: toasted coconut for topping

Melt the peanut butter, honey and coconut oil in a medium size saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir frequently as the mixture melts. When it has melted, remove from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients. Stir until the chocolate has melted and the ingredients are well combined.

Pour into an 8×8 pan (9×13 is fine well). Refrigerate until the chocolate hardens, at least 3-4 hours. Slice into 1″-2″ square pieces. Store in the refrigerator.

Vitamix Hot Chocolate (het bietjie koffie by)

www.nutmegnanny.com

Yield: 2 mugs hot chocolate

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon espresso powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash ground cinnamon
Whipped cream

Source: Adapted from Vitamix

Directions:

Add all ingredients except the whipped cream into your Vitamix blender. If you have a Vitamix Blender that has a hot soup preset option set it and forget it! (Well, don’t forget it…drink it after it’s done) After your hot chocolate is finished pour it into a mug, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.

If your Vitamix does not have a preset option simple blend on high until hot. This will take about 4 minutes.

* If you don’t have a Vitamix you could simply heat the milk, add the ingredients to your blender and blend. Or you could simply do it on the stove top as well.

Hot Chocolate with chili and cinnamon – Kwestiasmaku

Hot Chocolate with chili and cinnamon

Hot chocolate like a child, but without the chili and cinnamon.  For afternoon tea or a birthday party.

You can add chocolate and cinnamon chilli powder or chilli piece and a piece of cinnamon bark.  You can also add chili flakes.

If you want to get a very thick chocolate – to eat a teaspoon of the cup, we have to reduce by half the amount of milk and / or add more chocolate.

The components, 2 – 4 servings:

250 ml milk

5 tablespoons creamy cream 30%
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/3 tsp chili powder (cayenne pepper) or a piece of chilli pepper – the amount to taste
3 teaspoon of cinnamon powder or a piece of cinnamon bark
50 g of dark chocolate

Extras (optional):

•whipped cream (cream, whipped 30% cream with powdered sugar)
•chili flakes or cocoa powder or cinnamon

Preparation:

Pour the milk into a saucepan and cream, add powdered sugar and fresh chili and cinnamon bark if they use (powder spices add later).  Heat on medium heat, stirring every now and then (not).  Chop the chocolate into small pieces and add to the hot milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted.  Add the cinnamon and chili powder or chili flakes.  Bring to a boil.  Finally, you can mix the mass.  Weight should come out brown and smooth.  Serve in small cups.  Garnish with whipped cream and sugar fondant pudrem.

Caramel Hot Chocolate

http://www.cookingclassy.com/2013/01/caramel-hot-chocolate/

2 Servings (recipe can easily be doubled)

Ingredients

2 cups milk, preferably whole

1/4 – 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips (I recommend Ghirardelli)*

1/2 cup caramel sauce, recipe follows

sweetened whipped cream or vanilla marshmallows

grated chocolate and coarse or Maldon sea salt for garnish, optional

Caramel Sauce

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup salted butter

2/3 cup heavy cream

Directions

Prepare caramel sauce according to directions listed and allow to cool slightly. Heat milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once milk is warm, stir in chocolate chips and caramel, and cook whisking constantly until chocolate has melted. Allow to cool slightly and serve warm topped, topped with sweetened whipped cream or miniature marshmallows, drizzle each serving with 1 Tbsp caramel sauce and garnish with grated chocolate if desired.

For the caramel sauce:

Gather all of your ingredients and have them nearby ready to add to the mixture as needed. In a heavy-bottomed 3 quart saucepan, heat sugar and water over moderately high heat whisking constantly to dissolve sugar. Once mixture reaches a boil, stop whisking and allow mixture to boil until it reaches a dark amber color, carefully swirling pan occasionally. Once mixture reaches a dark amber color, immediately add butter and whisk until butter has melted then immediately remove from heat. Wait 3 seconds then carefully pour in cream and immediately whisk to combine (it will bubble vigorously). Whisk until mixture is smooth. Allow caramel to cool several minutes then pour into a glass jar to cool.

*For a richer hot chocolate, you can use up to 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips and mix in more caramel sauce as well if desired.
