Steak and Kidney Pie Recipe
Treat the family to this traditional steak and kidney pie served with mashed potatoes and roast vegetables.

Ingredients
• 500 gram Beef, cubed
• 500 gram Lamb kidneys, cleaned and cubed
• 250 millilitre Red wine
• 50 gram Flour
• 15 millilitre Oil
• 250 millilitre Water
• 1 KNORR Hearty Beef Stew Cook-in-Sauce
• 400 gram Roll puff pastry
• 1 Egg, lightly beaten
Instructions
1. Marinate the beef cubes and kidneys in the red wine, preferably overnight.
2. Dust the cubes with flour reserving the wine for later use.
3. Fry the cubes in oil to brown.
4. Add the KNORR Hearty Beef Cook-in-Sauce, the reserved wine and water and simmer for 25-30 min.
5. Place in an ovenproof dish or 4 individual dishes.
6. Roll out the pastry and place over the mixture to create the top of the pie.
7. Brush with beaten egg.
8. Bake the pie at 200°C for 15 min or until golden brown.
9. Serve with mashed potato and vegetables.

Steak en Kidney pastei hoef niemand gryshare te gee nie.Bestanddele:
500g niertjies (bees of skaap, skoongemaak en in hap-grootte blokkies gesny)
1kg chuck steak blokkies (Ongeveer 2,5cm x 2,5 cm)
3 groot uie in kwarte gesny
2 k water
Aromat na smaak
Peper na smaak
2 pakke skilferkors
Braai jou niertjies en steak in bietjie olie tot steak mooi bruin is.
Gooi als in ‘n stoompot saam met die uie, aromat en 2 k water.
Stoom ongeveer 20 min.
Gooi in oondvaste bak en bedek met skilferkors.
Smeer kors met bietjie melk en 1 eier geel gemeng.
Bak in 180C oond tot goudbruin
